To The Deep and Back!!
The Ocean Exploration Centre will be far more than an aquarium.  Its site will help make it a hub for activities on Wellington’s spectacular South Coast – both those created by the Centre itself and by others.

It'll be a place to interact with and wonder at some of our most beautiful and amazing, but least familiar creatures and habitats.

It will take you on a journey of discovery from coastal streams and wetlands on to the rocky shore, out through the offshore kelp forests, down to the shallow reefs of Cook Strait– and back again!
